Kristen King, Assistant to the City Manager

Kristen has served as Assistant to the City Manager since October 2021. In her position, Kristen serves on the management team, performs small project management, and prepares reports and recommendations to City administration and the Governing Body.

Kristen began with the City in the Public Works Department in October 2013 and moved to the City Manager’s Office in June 2016, and was promoted to Management Assistant in 2020. Kristen is a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and Kansas Association of City/County Management (KACM). Kristen received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master’s degree in public administration from Kansas State University.
