Membership Benefits & Levels

Friends of Sunset Zoo Memberships offer a variety of levels perfect for you and your family.

Membership is valid for 12 months from the time of purchase; nontransferable and nonrefundable. Members of the military (active duty or retired with a valid ID) receive $5 off any basic membership.

Memberships, and gift memberships, are available for purchase online, over the phone, or in person at Sunset Zoo.

FOSZ Membership Benefits

• Free Admission to Sunset Zoo for a year
• Free of Discounted Tickets for special events (excludes fundraisers, see each event page for specific details)
• Free or Discounted Admission to more than 150 AZA accredited Zoos and Aquariums nationwide (participation in the reciprocity program does not guarantee free or discounted admission, as each institute sets its own policies; Sunset Zoo recommends calling ahead before visiting)
• Free participation in our Loyalty Program to earn points for free zoo items (requires downloaded PassPlay app and digital FOSZ member card).
• Free year-long subscription to Zoo's Insider e-newsletter.
• Exclusive Invitations to FOSZ Members Only events.
• Discounts on Sunset Zoo classes and birthday parties.
• 10% Discount in Sunset Zoo's Gift Shop and Expedition Café concession stand.
• Complimentary Popcorn each visit, one per member during Expedition Café business hours.

Basic Membership Levels

• Individual Membership: $45 (one named adult 18yrs+)
• Individual Plus: $55 (two named adults 18yrs+ OR one named adult 18yrs+ and one child 17 & under)
• Individual Senior: $35 (one named adult 60yrs+)
• Senior Plus: $45 (two named adult 60yrs+)
• Family: $75 (up to two named adults of the same household, all children and/or grandchildren 17yrs & under)
• Family Plus: $85 (up to two named adults of the same household, all children and/or grandchildren 17yrs & under, and one unnamed guest each visit)

Military Discount: $5 off any of the basic memberships with valid ID (active duty or retired). Military discount only available for in-person membership sales and renewals. Military discount not valid for Director's club membership levels.

Director's Club Membership Levels

• Zoo Buff Membership: $250 (up to two named adults of the same household, all children and/or grandchildren 17yrs & under)
• Supporter Membership:  $500 (up to two named adults of the same household, all children and/or grandchildren 17yrs & 
• Patron Membership: $750 (up to two named adults of the same household, all children and/or grandchildren 17yrs & under)
• Benefactor Membership: $1,000 (up to two named adults of the same household, all children and/or grandchildren 17yrs & 

Director's Club memberships start with 750 points in their PassPlay account as well as receive the full benefits of membership.
